S.K. was graduated in the University of Hong Kong in 1985 after finishing the LL.B. and P.C.LL. courses. Completed his articled clerkship in Hong Kong and admitted to practise in August 1987. S.K. joined Messrs. Johnson Stokes & Master as an assistant solicitor in 1987 until 1992 when he set up his own firm. In July 1996, S.K. and Alfred formed the present partnership.

S.K. obtained his LL.M. (University of Hong Kong ) in 1991, LL.M. (Peking University) in 2004 and Ph.D. (Tsinghua University) in 2007. He was appointed as a notary public in August 1996 and a China-appointed Attesting Officer in January 2000. S.K. was also admitted to practise in England, Australia and Singapore. His major areas of practice are commerce, litigation and real property. His practice covers a wide range of subject matters including real property acquisitions, commercial contracts and probate.

S.K. was awarded the Medal of Honour (M.H.) on 1 July 2010 by the Government of Hong Kong for his contribution to the community.
